Our Story
Welcome!
We are Josh & Jerin Kessler and we're so excited to share just a little bit of our story! Josh & I grew up on opposite sides of the country; him on the East, me on the West. By a stroke of luck, we met in the middle at a small college dance in Texas. We got married after graduating and moved to Maryland a year later for Josh's work.
Neither of us grew up on a farm, but we both shared a dream of growing our own food, raising some animals, and living out where there's space to grow. Shortly after moving here in early summer of 2020, we were blessed with the opportunity to purchase a cute little house on a couple of acres. Our dream began sprouting roots! We have worked so hard since then, to continue cultivating that dream. First, we added our rescue pup, Daisy. The next Spring we added chickens and a small herd of goats. The matriarch of our little goat herd was also named Daisy. When we started to think of a name for our little homestead, Daisy came to mind since both our first dog and our first goat came to us named Daisy.
Thus, Daisy Acres was born!
